Questions and Comments
This agreement represents the complete agreement and
understanding between Keystone Community Network, Inc. (hereinafter called
KCnet) and the account holder and supersedes any other written or oral
agreement.Upon notice published on-line, via KCnet services, KCnet may
modify these terms and conditions, amplify them and/or modify the prices,
as well as discontinue or change the services offered. If you do not agree
to these terms and conditions, please notify KCnet so we may initiate closure
of your account.

1. Provisions of Services
- KCnet services are defined as the use by the account holder of computing,
telecommunications, and information services provided by KCnet. These services
also provide the provision of access to computing, telecommunications,
and information services provided by the Global Network.
- Connection to KCnet for extended periods of time with no activity or "use"
is considered abuse of the resources intended for use by other members
and is cause for suspension of a membership. Special rates are available
for members who need extended periods of time online.
- Some of the discussions and information available contain language and
pictures about subjects intended for adult audiences. Account holders must
be 18 years of age or older.
- KCnet will provide services on its computing and networking systems to
individual account holders in exchange for payment of fees and compliance
with the terms and conditions of this document.
- KCnet will publish a notice of fee changes thirty (30) days before such
increases are to take effect.
2. Use of Material
- Public domain materials (e.g. images, text, programs) may be downloaded
or uploaded using KCnet services. Account holders may also re-distribute
materials in the public domain. The account holder assumes all risks regarding
the determination of whether the material is public domain.
- As provided by United States federal law and by international treaties,
copyrighted material (e.g. images, text, programs) may not be uploaded
using KCnet services without the permission of the copyright holder. Copyrighted
materials may be downloaded for personal use. Except as expressly permitted,
materials under copyright may not be distributed to other individuals.
Copyrighted material may not be changed nor can the author attribution
notices nor the copyright notices be modified.
- Some materials available on the global internet are called "shareware".
These materials may be downloaded and used, but they are copyrighted materials.
The copyright holder usually gives permission to use the materials for
examination. If you choose to continue using the materials, the copyright
holder requests that you register your usage and may ask that you pay a
license fee.
3. Use of Services
- KCnet accounts are for individual users and account holders therefore agrees
not to share the password of the account. The account holder acknowledges
that KCnet will terminate the account without notice if the account holder
does not comply.
- The account holder agrees to maintain a secure password to the account.
Secure passwords are those that are between six (6) and eight (8) characters
long, contain upper and lower case letters, numbers, or other characters,
and cannot be found in direct or reverse order in the dictionary, without
regard to the language of the dictionary.
- The account holder agrees not to use any process, program, or tool via
KCnet services for guessing the passwords of account holders on KCnet or
other systems. The account holder agrees not to use KCnet services to make
unauthorized attempts to access the system and networks of others.
4. Indemnification
- The account holder acknowledges that KCnet makes an honest effort to keep
the information available on KCnet's system accurate. However, KCnet can
make no warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, regarding the
quality, accuracy, or validity of the data and/or information available.
Use of the information obtained from or through KCnet is at the risk of
the account holder.
- The account holder also acknowledges that information available through
the interconnecting networks may not be accurate. KCnet has no ability
or authority over the material. KCnet can make no warranty of any kind,
either expressed or implied, regarding the quality, accuracy, or validity
of the data and/or information residing in or passing through these networks.
Use of the information obtained from or through KCnet services is at the
risk of the account holder.
- The account holder agrees to indemnify and hold KCnet harmless from claims,
including attorney fees, resulting from the account holder receiving KCnet
services which cause direct or indirect damage to another party.
5. Payment of Fees
- The KCnet accounting cycle begins on the first of each month. New accounts
are started on the first day of the month following your application date.
- Service payments will be submitted in advance of receiving services.
- Delinquent accounts are those that remain unpaid at the beginning of the
month.
- Accounts that or delinquent by more than one month will be terminated.
- There is a service reconnection charge equal to one month's service.
6. Account Cancellations
- Cancellation requests for KCnet must be received in writing via E-mail,
fax, or postal service at KCnet's main office. Such requests must be received
by the close of the business day and, one week prior to the next accounting
cycle.
7. Abuse of Services
- Any use of KCnet system resources that disrupts the normal use of the system
for other KCnet customers is considered to be abuse of system resources
and is grounds for administrative intervention.
- Homepages must conform to the standards of KCnet which are those of Keystone
Central School District. Homepages, public pages, and link pages must be
of the quality that is appropriate for viewing of all ages (K-12 grades
and older).
- Depending on the nature and severity of the abuse, the user may receive
an E-mail warning or have the account suspended. If the misuse is unintentional,
the suspension may be rescinded at the direction of the KCnet administrator.
- KCnet members who send unsolicited email through their KCnet account are
considered “abusers” and will have their email service suspended.

Please Note:
Your monthly payments become effective the first month following your
payment. We do not send bills. You may send as many months' payment at
once as you'd like. Many of our members pay yearly. Ask about our discount
for six (6) months and one year payments.

We are associated with Keystone Central School District, and as such, must
maintain extra high standards.
